Kerit Ilves started her clarinet studies at Tallinn University in Hendrik Nagla’s clarinet class. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she completed her skills at the Tallinn School of Music (teachers Vello Sakkos, Meelis Vind). In 2020, she earned her master’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the clarinet class of Professor Toomas Vavilov. In the autumn of 2018, she also studied at the State Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov in St. Petersburg with Andrei Kazakov and Alexander Vasilyev. She has received the First Prize of the Round Table 5 Tallinn NORD Scholarship Competition (2016) and has soloisted in front of the Tallinn University Symphony Orchestra, the All-Estonian Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (conductors M. Sildos, J-R. Kangur, K. Mänd). Kerit currently plays in the Estonian Military Orchestra and various chamber ensembles.
