Born in Moscow he concludes his studies at the Moscow Conservatory under the leadership of Lev Mikhailov and Vladimir Sokolov; at the Bologna Conservatory with Italo Capicchioni and at the La Scala Academy with Fabrizio Meloni and Mauro Ferrando and participated in master classes by Antony Pay, Wolfgang Meyer and Eddie Daniels. His appearances as soloist include such countries as Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Russia, Sweden, Usa, Israel and Taiwan. Deeply committed to the chamber music repertoire, he is one of the founding members of the modular group “Kaleido Ensemble”, and has collaborated with Julian Rachlin, Mischa Maisky, Boris Andrianov, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Boris Petrushansky, Itamar Golan, Ingrid Fliter, Alexander Kobrin, with Aviv Quartet, Escher String Quartet, Szymanowski Quartet. Anton has been a guest in several music festivals such as “Festival Dei Due Mondi” in Spoleto, “Musica Sull’Acqua”, “Kissingen Sommer”, Aspen and Colmar Festivals, “Homecoming” Chamber Music Festival in Moscow, “Four Seasons” in S.Petersburg among others. He has won first prizes in competitions such as the “Young Talents of Soviet Union” in Russia, International Competition in Stresa, “Ponchielli Competition” in Cremona, “Rovere d’Oro” (Italy). He was a prize winner in The International Clarinet Competition in Markneukirchen (Germany) as well as in the “Valentino Bucchi” International Competition in Rome. Mr. Dressler has premiered numerous works and several composers such as U.Brener, E.Podgaiz, M.Bronner, A.Rosenblat, E.Galperin, A.Chaikovsky, have dedicated their compositions to him. His passion for live electronics has brought him to broaden his repertoire and to create new compositions. Outside the classical field, Anton has taken part as well in numerous klezmer, jazz and crossover music projects.
Mr. Dressler has joint various orchestras as first clarinet such as “Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra”, “Padova e Veneto” Chamber Orchestra, “Orchestra da Camera di Mantova”, “Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano”.
He teaches clarinet at the Conservatories of Pescara and Cremona, and chamber music at the Imola Academy “Incontri col Maestro” (Italy). Anton has given masterclasses in Italy, Russia, Usa and Israel.
Dressler recordings include the Messiaen’s “Quatuor Pour la Fin du Temps” for Athopos (Italy), an album of Russian Music for clarinet and piano for Cryston (Japan), an album with elements of improvisation “Duo al Opera” for Bocconi University and a feature in the CD “Leonid Desyatnikov: The Leaden Echo” by the UK label Quartz. For the same label was recently released “Livemovement”, a solo album of his music for clarinet and live electronics.
Anton is currently teaching clarinet in the Conservatories of Trento and Cremona and chamber music in the Academy “Incontri col maestro” in Imola, Italy.
