Bruna Pulini was born in Pescara (Italy) where she studied with Rachele Marchegiani and graduated cum laude at the Conservatorio “L.D‘Annunzio“. She attended the Ecole Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot“ in Paris and she obtained the “Diplom d‘Execution“. Then she moved to Vienna to study at the university of music and performing arts with Prof. Noel Flores and she got the degree cum laude. She has also been attending the class of Prof. Sergio Marengoni at the Fondazione Romanini in Brescia and she studied with Prof. Pavel Gililov at the music university in Cologne where she got the “Konzertexamen” degree.
Bruna Pulini has taken part in several masterclasses with famous musicians: Franco Scala (Accademia di Imola), Piero Rattalino, Michele Marvulli (annual course for piano and orchestra), and as chambermusician she played duo, trio and piano quintet attending courses and masterclasses with Altenberg Trio (Konservatorium -Wien), Trio di Trieste (Scuola Superiore di musica da camera-Duino), Salvatore Accardo, Bruno Canino, Dora Schwarzberg and Alban Berg Quartet (Accademia Chigiana Siena, Musikhochschule Köln) .
She received several scholarship from Ministero degli Esteri Italiano, Erasmus Project of EU, Oesterreichische Bundesministerium.
She has won many prizes at national and international competitions, among others : Internazionale di Roma (1.prize), Premio Venezia ’94, Concours International de Piano “Paris ‘95” (1er Prix), Internazionale “Città di Manerbio” ‘98 (1. prize), Premio “Città di Pisa ‘99” ( 1. prize), Coppa Pianisti d‘Italia Osimo ‘99 (1. prize), Premio “Rospigliosi” Pistoia 2000 (1. prize), Premio Int.le “Skrjabin”, Premio Int.le “Bengalli”, Premio Internazionale “Città di Sulmona”, European Piano Competition “G.Mosconi” Parma, 45° International Piano Competition “Città di Treviso” (1. prize), IX Concurso Internacional de Piano “Fondación Guerriero” .
She performed throughout Italy (among others at Teatro Verdi di Pisa, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Marcello di Roma..), France, Lettland, Germany and Austria (Wiener Konzerthaus, Schubert Saal, Steinway Haus, Beethoven Gedaenkstaette..) and she recorded for SISMA (Società Italiana per lo Studio della Musica colta Afroamericana) a CD with music of Ginastera and Villa-Lobos.
She played as soloist with Orchestra Sinfonica di Brescia, Orchestra Sinfonica “Città di Grosseto”, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Orquesta Sinfònica de Radiotelevisiòn Espanola, Iasi Moldova Philarmonic Orchestra , Orchestra Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, Orchestra da camera di Pescara “Colibrì Ensemble”.
Bruna Pulini is Professor for piano at the Conservatory for music “Claudio Monteverdi” in Bolzano (Italy).
